Wire Transfer Refunds

For students that do not have a United States bank account and do not have a United States mailing address, wire transfer refunds are available via Convera and Flywire. Wire transfer refunds will be processed using the same wire transfer method (Convera or Flywire) as the original payment.

The UW-Madison Bursar’s Office will work to identify students who may qualify for a wire transfer refund. Once a student is identified, our office will contact the student via email with more information.

There may be a $20 transaction fee for processing wire transfer refunds in US Dollar.

The University is not a financial institution. Payments directed to UW-Madison should be rendered for the amount due on your UW-Madison eBill. Payments for off-campus housing or other personal living expenses must be directed to your personal bank account, not the University.

Schedule changes that result in a tuition reduction and credit balance will also be refunded using the original payment method.
